I Like Browser Screenshots

Capture exactly the part of a web page you need, even when it scrolls, and tidy it up before you share it.

For Chrome, Edge, and Brave

Four ways to capture

Visible area

Exactly what's on your screen right now.

Full page

Scrolls the whole page for you and stitches it into one image. Sticky headers and chat buttons appear once instead of repeating down the picture.

Scrolling section

For pages with a column or panel that scrolls on its own, like an email inbox or a three-column layout. Point at it, click, and you get that whole section, with or without the rest of the window.

Select area

Drag a box around anything on the screen.

Fix it up before you share

Crop, rotate, resize

Drag over the part you want and it's cropped as soon as you let go. Rotate, flip, or shrink to 75%, 50%, or 25%. The page scrolls on its own while you drag, so long captures are easy.

Highlight and pencil

Mark what matters in any colour and strength, or draw freehand at the thickness you like.

Blur private details

Scrambles names, emails, and numbers so they can't be read back from the image.

Undo anything

Step back through up to 20 changes, or reset to the original. Then save as PNG or JPG, or copy it to paste anywhere.

Private by design

Screenshots are made in your browser and kept there. Nothing is uploaded, there's no account, and no cloud is involved. The extension only touches a page when you click it.

Install

It's free from the Chrome Web Store and works in Chrome, Edge, and Brave, on Windows and Mac.

  1. Click Add to Chrome to open its page in the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome there, then Add extension.
  3. Click the puzzle piece icon in your toolbar and pin it, so it's always one click away.
  4. Click the icon on any web page and choose what to capture.

Using Microsoft Edge? On the store page, click Allow extensions from other stores first, then add it the same way. Updates install automatically.

Questions

Does it work on every website?

Almost all of them. Browsers don't allow extensions on their own settings pages or extension stores, so those can't be captured.

Parts of my full-page capture came out blank.

Some pages only load images as you scroll. In the extension's Settings, raise the wait time between scrolls and try again.

Is there a keyboard shortcut?

Alt+Shift+S (Option+Shift+S on a Mac) opens the menu. You can give each capture mode its own shortcut in your browser's extension shortcut settings.

Where are my screenshots kept?

The ten most recent stay in your browser until you download or copy them. They never leave your computer.
